There are many approaches for the outcome of globalization. Globalisation cannot be depended on the outcome of capitalism or communism or end result of industrial revolution. A correct explanation of globalisation needs to consider “a complex and fluctuating mix of interlinked political, economic, cultural, ecological and psychological forces, some of which are mutually reinforcing and some of which are contradictory.” Globalisation has inevitable economic, social, cultural, results on the world nations. In this paper especially the increasing role of the individuals, nongovernmental organisations (NGOs) and some other institutions are questioned and effects of these on the global welfare researched. On the one hand globalisation which force nations to become more liberal and freer but dependent to the global projects and regulations and on the other hand increasing protection in international market, especially protection in agricultural sector. In this paper only direct payments of the Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union are considered to question the distribution and welfare effects for illustrating the contradiction between globalisation and protection. Does neo-liberalism refer to an economical policy, which is directed against Keynesianism, which pleaded state-intervention to support the demand? Does protection contributed to the welfare of the nations or not? If yes, which protection will better contribute to the world welfare?
